LESSON WORKSHEETS

ACTIVITY: Puppet
Introduce a puppet to your students.
This is the same activity as Lesson 1, but with a sleepy stage before feeding the puppet.
Prepare: stick food flashcards to the walls.
1. Students ask "how are you"?
2. The puppet doesn't answer, or makes only an animal noise.
3. Use the Feeling Flashcards to help students ask:
"Are you happy?" Puppet shakes its head no.
"Are you sad?" Puppet shakes its head no.
"Are you angry?" Puppet shakes its head no.
Leave sleepy until last.
"Are you sleepy?" Puppet nods its head yes.
Students say "go to sleep".
Put the puppet on the floor and cover with a blanket. After thirty seconds, look at your watch and get students to say "wake up!"
Students again ask "how are you?"
The puppet is hungry! Do Lesson 1 puppet activity. You can sing the lesson 1 song (without the backing music) during this activity too.
