LESSON WORKSHEETS

1. Teach the Action 2 Flashcards vocabulary. (Don't teach turn around or stairs yet).
2. Ask students "can you (swim)?" "Yes / No".
You can also review the Action Flashcards (sing, dance, fly, juggle).
3. Practice "I can (swim)" with a thumbs up gesture, and "I can't (fly)" with a thumbs down.
4. If you have space, put 4 colour flashcards around the room. Ask students to "run to red" "jump to blue" "walk to yellow".
5. Students can pick a card from the Action 2 Flashcards and instruct their classmates: "hop to green".

SONG

1. Show the stairs flashcard. Teach "stairs" and gesture with your fingers "up the stairs / down the stairs".
2. Show the turn around flashcard. Teach "turn around" and gesture with your fingers.
3. Sing the song.
Sing while sitting:
Use two fingers to gesture walking and other actions.
Sing while moving:

LESSON WORKSHEETS

ACTIVITY

1. Hold up an action flashcard P51-P56 + P1-P4. With the students, ask the puppet “can you (run)”?
2. The puppet can answer yes, and then do the action, or no (and try and fail to do the action for added humour).
3. Hand out one flashcard to each student.
Each student takes a turn asking a “can you…” question.
If the puppet answers yes, take the card from the student and place it in a yes pile.
If the puppet answers no, take the card and place it in a no pile.
At the end, add up the number of yes and no cards.
Wow, (puppet) can do 4 things!
