LESSON PLAN

SONG 1: What do you like?

1. Show the Song flashcards.
2. Ask students questions: "Do you like (pizza)?" "Yes/No." "Do you like (ice cream)?" "Yes/No".
3. Students can make sentences: "I like (ice cream)", "I like (donuts)" with a thumbs up gesture.
4. Sing the song. See the song lyrics for gestures.

SONG 2: What don't you like?

1. Show the Song 2 flashcards.
2. Ask students questions: "Do you like (coffee)?" "Yes/No." "Do you like (spiders)?" "Yes/No".
3. Students can make sentences: "I don't like (thunder)", "I don't like (vampires)" with a thumbs down gesture.
4. Sing the song. See the song lyrics for gestures.

LESSON WORKSHEETS

PUPPET ACTIVITY

Download and print a selection of food flashcards online, e.g.

1. Place foods of different colours on the floor or a table, face down.
2. The puppet says "I like (red) food."
3. Students must search for one card that matches the colour, bring it to the puppet and ask “Do you like (apples)?” If the puppet says yes, the student can say “here you go” and feed the puppet.

Make sure there are more than enough cards for students in the categories that you select.

You can also try this with hot/cold foods, or fruit/vegetables, if students are familiar with these words.
